Film and the night....

Back in August was the Perseids Meteor Shower so I decided I would break out my trusty Pentax Program Plus film body and take some long exposures to see if I could capture some of the meteors.  Though only a couple of the images contain meteors, I still am pretty happy with the star trails I captured.  If I wasn't dependent on other's to develop my images, I would probably shoot more film.  13+ dollars for one-hour development and a CD copy of the images.  Even though it can be a pain to use, I bought another roll when I picked up my prints...I kind of miss film. - Todd

Smokey Crescent Moon

Nothing like a smoke colored crescent moon setting over the high plains. - Todd

This weekend....

I spent a good majority of my weekend photographing a rodeo in Vaughn as a favor to the rodeo committee.  It was a pretty good time and I have a lot of images to work through but I really liked this one, taken today, and thought I would get it out here on my blog since I gave out a few of my cards today. - Todd

Sentimental Journey

Boeing B-17G, Sentimental Journey arrived in Great Falls today and Brendan and I got a chance to take a close-up look of the beautiful aircraft.  For those of you who might be interested, the aircraft will be at the airport until Sunday, September 9th and tours are available for $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for kids 5 - 12 (I think).  Here is a link to their webpage:  http://www.azcaf.org/pages/sentjourn.html

A few pictures...I could have stayed there all day and took pictures. - Todd

A few aircraft....

I noticed a KC-135 flying around Great Falls today so I took a trip up to the airport.  When I got up there I was able to watch it do a couple low approaches and some F-15s coming in for landings. - Todd

September Sunrise

After taking Christopher to the airport this morning I thought I would take advantage of being up and about before the sun.  This picture was taken this morning from the interstate on my way home.  Would have been a bit nicer had there not been bands of smoke in the sky. - Todd
